Welcome to SNAP

We are researchers and clinicians from Australia who are interested in making drug and alcohol treatment practical and meaningful for clinicians and their clients.

We have developed a software package called SNAP (Standardised Neuroclinical Assessment Package), inspired by the Addiction Neuroclinincal Assessment from NIDA.

SNAP allows clinicians to assess, practically and briefly, three key domains that can potentially improve treatment outcomes. Those domains are attentional bias (which we have termed reward), distress tolerance (emotion) and inhibition (impulse).

We matched each domain with tailored, evidence-based, clinical interventions to attend to each individual's treatment needs. In SNAP, clinicians and their clients will find psychoeducation videos, activities, and notes to work on the client's specific goals and preferences, and to monitor their progress over time.

Currently, SNAP is a proof-of-concept prototype, showcasing the potential of the tool. Further development will require engaging drug and alcohol treatment clients to make these interventions meaningful to them.

Also, please note that the app is currently designed only for desktop and laptop use, rather than for viewing on mobile devices.

In the meantime, if you have any feedback or want further information about SNAP, please contact Raimondo Bruno. We would love to hear from you and hope that you like SNAP as much as we do.
